Venue Upgrades

Thanks to the generosity of our existing regular supporters and with the additional help of a Welsh Government grant from their 'Community Facilities Programme', and following some essential repairs on the valley gutters to eliminate water ingress, we shall begin work on completely upgrading our toilet facilities on 31 March 2025. 

This will be a huge benefit to all those who use our venue, but will obviously disrupt things for a few weeks. (See note below). Following the renovation, there will some changes to our food provision service as we shall be able to welcome people back into the building again. 

PLEASE NOTE: 

AS OF MONDAY 31 MARCH WE SHALL BE UNDERTAKING ESSENTIAL REPAIRS AND UPGRADES TO THE PREMISES INCLUDING IMPROVED TOILET FACILITIES.

This will take between 4 - 5 weeks.

During this time:

  • The Wallich Rough Sleepers Intervention Team will continue to provide their essential support first thing in the morning operating from their van outside of Zac's Place.
  • The Tuesday evening Tribal Gathering will meet from 7.30 - 9.30pm on the beach steps behind County Hall, (if it's raining, under the canopy of the entrance to the offices and library)
  • The Thurs and Fri food provision will be suspended as the kitchen will be closed. A new food provision programme will start after the refit.
We will NOT be able to receive donations of clothes or other items during this time

Zac's Place 'One More Mile' Just Giving Campaign

Zac's Place is raising support to assist with sustaining its well established work in Swansea into the next generation. This includes making provision for additional staff and volunteers, and also significant improvements to our city centre HQ. Still Inspired by the Call to the Margins

A big part of the Zac’s Place story over the past 25 years, since the earliest days of our forming together as ‘Zac’s Place - Church in Pub?’, has been the place of thorough and methodical reflection of the Bible. As time has gone on, this has continued to shape and challenge our deliberate choice to be at home with those who are marginalised, to engage with pro-active care and be advocates and a voice for those whose voice gets lost.
